    Hello out there…

I have a question for any who might be able to shed light on this problem. Apple have just sent me this new Mac Pro 2.8 Quad Core Intel Xeon desk top, it has 16 gbs of memory in it. This issue I am having is this, it is much slower that my old 2 2.66 Duel core processor Mac Pro that I had with 5 gbs of memory.
I am working with these 30 min. 1080p uncut video clips, nothing special has been done to these clips what so ever, just a little crop and that’s it. The problem it what I go to render one of the clips its about an hr and 15 to doso. If I want a reference mov to bring into compressor that will take about an hr and half to export.

Has anybody out there run into the same issue with a single processor verses a duel processor?

    Jess
