  • Well, as it turned out. The songs bought from iTunes are MP4 with a lock so they wont’t import.

So, I burned the songs to a CD converting the songs to AIFF then I imported the AIFF songs into the Media 100 bin.

It is one step I would rather not have to do, but it works.

  • I tried dragging from the desktop, I tried dragging from the harddrive, I tried dragging from the iTunes window…Nothing will take.
How do you convert to a file that Media 100i will accept?

Thanks for the quick response. Working fine now.

  • Thanks for the explaination.
I have one project I haven’t trashed yet and it has about 20 music files in its bin. I assume I can export them to the newly set up Music Project Bin to be used later.
But when I find the media to be deleted from the original project I will need to be sure to uncheck the audio box or these selections will be found and deleted too.
I will give it a go,
    Thanks

  • I went to the Boris RED file in the Applications Folder to run RED as a Plug in and then ent to the Library and generated all the thumbnails. When I went back to Media 100 and to the Boris Library Browser they were all there.

    Thanks Floh,
When I switched from OS9 and Media 100 7.5 to OS X with Media 8.2, I could not access any of my media stored on the external harddrives. So I just made sure the drives were clear and started over with fresh data on the new set-up.

But since I have formatted the external discs witht the MAC set up when I switch over to the new computer will I be able to access media and projects stored on those drives? Hopefully I can continue working on some projects on the new conputer that are not finished yet.
