Bump for any Super8 people out there? I’m hoping someone has the knowledge I need out there.

Rather than dumping a nested piece of a sequence from the source window, if you merely mark in and outs in your source sequence in the timeline (and having linked audio with this video, I assume) and then copy and paste into your final sequence you shouldn’t have to render, I believe. This does mean that you have to alter your normal editing behavior, however, and may be slower. But I would far rather use that method than deal with the rendering.
