There should be a vertical line through the clip indicating where the transition starts. Hovering the mouse over this line will change the mouse cursor to a “rectangle with a curved side”. Click and drag this line towards the end of the clip removing the transition (or change the length of the transition).

September 17, 2006 at 1:09 pm in reply to: How to do split screen…

Have the two clips on seperate tracks and create a mask in each of the events – eg. the top track would have a mask exposing for the left side of the screen and conversely, the bottom track would have a mask exposing for the right side of the screen. Thes masks are automateable so you can vary the mask over time

August 30, 2006 at 9:13 pm in reply to: Buy Connect HD now?

From what I have read it would seem that the new version 7 will support native hdv editing without the need for a proxy or using Connect HD. This obviously needs to be confirmed once 7 is released which should be shortly.

I would hang on until the release before spending but thats only my opinion

You need to use the “Internal Capture” application which you can access from the “File” menu – “Capture Video.

Once you select this option, you are asked whether to use the “Internal” or “External” capture program. The Internal capture program is used for HD capture.

If we have to keep track of all the drivers which work/don’t work with any particular system or NLE, somebody is going to have to be paying us a lot bucks 🙂 For all of us on the forum, its a labor of love for our systems and even then we just cannot know it all – we try though 🙂

If you are running WInXP, go Start|Settings|Control Panel|System|Hardware|Device Manager. Choose your display adapter and uninstall the existing driver. Reboot windows and when it wants to reinstall the drivers, choose the “Have Disc” and install from your disc.

This is not a hardware issue but a driver problem with either your motherboard BIOS or with the display adapter. Unfortunately I’m just not sure which one is gong to solve the problem.

Load the drivers for the video card that came with the card. Don’t load the latest from Nvidia.

Also make sure you update the bios of the board to the latest version. There have been problems with this board and its bios

Sounds like one of the media drivers has gotten corrupt.

    Try re-installing WMP 10 (or 11)
