    Hello,

How can I get Vegas to do a split screen? I’m not really wanting to do picture-in-picture but I want to create a screen that is evenly split with two seperate video clips. I’ve also seen some videos where clips seem to move within the screen (i.e. clip is in the upper left while the rest of the screen in black, etc.). Thanks again to all of you for your replies on this board. I’m relatively new to editing and your time and responses are greatly appreciated.

Put your two videos on separate tracks and play with “Pan-Crop” for each of the events.

Have the two clips on seperate tracks and create a mask in each of the events – eg. the top track would have a mask exposing for the left side of the screen and conversely, the bottom track would have a mask exposing for the right side of the screen. Thes masks are automateable so you can vary the mask over time

Click the link below my name and read the newsletter that talks about creating a split screen. There’s multiple methods explained in that article.
