December 14, 2007 at 5:34 pm in reply to: How to create solid particle trail without CPTOkay I figured this out for those curious. It’s weird… if you adjust the “start growth” on your sweep nurb you have to drop the “End growth” to atleast 99%. When at 100% it gives the jumpy effect seen above.

Here is another question… When I adjust the “start growth” attribute on my sweep nurb it gives me a jumpy effect. I am basically trying to have the tail follow the head.
see link
https://fluidresolution.com/Tracer.movSee how the head of the tracer is jumpin all crazy. How can i make this stop.

December 13, 2007 at 12:52 am in reply to: How to create solid particle trail without CPTThink I might have a substitute using mograph. Just dug this up on c4dcafe…

But still curious about other suggestions. The elusive trail effect is still a great discussion to keep going.

March 28, 2006 at 5:05 pm in reply to: NAKD BOXES…Particles from object that do no collide HOW?This is alot of great information. I will look into all of this as soon as I get home. I was wondering if you could expand on a couple things foe me real quick though.
“… and then emitta particle for each single polygon. The points will give you position and alignment.”
Is this a setting? I couldn’t find out specifically how to do this. Do I need an expression?“…adjust a weight map accordingly so you know from which points you already emitted particles.”
I am not familiar with what weight mapping does exactly. Is there a one sentence description that you could throw my way. Thanks again, sounds like you know what your talking about that’s for sure.
