What kind of media/codec?

Select the clips.
Hit copy (command-c) and then paste as connected (option-v).

Did some short/non-extensive testing today.
I exported from another machine and it worked, the XML that was exported was v1.7.
On another machine, the version of XML exported was v1.8. That version did not work.
Not sure how to force frame.io to use v1.7.

Hmm. I just did this the other day and it worked.
Maybe the latest update is broken?

If you have FCPX 10.4.2, you need to update to frame.io v2 (via App Store).
There is an option to install the Share Destinations in to FCPX.
If you have already done all of this, then use a share destination, set your settings for encoding, and click Export.
You get the resulting dialogue box, be sure to click “Clips” at the top.

How many separate multicam clips are in the timeline, meaning how many multicam did you cut from (which is different than how many cuts are in the timeline). I would think if you choose each multicam in the inspector and select each instance of the same clip, you may be able to do it.

Can you select them all, right click and choose the active audio angle?

Add a mask (Filters > Masks > Draw Mask) or crop using the crop tool, to a duplicate copy of the layer above the main layer.

You assign Roles by opening the multicam clip and changing them in the multicam timeline.
Clips in compounds, however, assume the role of the compound clip, so detaching is the way.
You may also need to assign Roles in the timeline, and not the inspector. That will give you a clip by clip, channel by channel option by right clicking.

You can check the resulting AAFs from X2Pro in Logic.
