Audio Drops During Playback
My audio keeps dropping out during playback in FCPX 10.4.2. Running on iMac (late 2013) with macOS High Sierra ver 10.13.4, 3.5GHz Intel Core i7 processor, 32GB DDR3 mem and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780M 4096 MB graphics card.
This is a 2-camera shoot, with 4 audio tracks. All wav forms are visible. ???

What kind of media/codec?

It’s 4K 3840×2160, ProRes MOV files with 48kHz for the audio. I’m also in the process of make proxy files and see if that helps. These audio drops aren’t in the audio tracks since I can backup and replay and there is audio. So it must be a issue with processing the audio during playback.

I’m having same issue but with 4K MXF.
Waveforms have to be all the way generated in browser and timeline before smooth playback happens with no drop outs.
