we are only using Enterprise Drives.
The Hitachi Ultrastar™ 7K3000 is working great.

You have to have at least two graphiccards in your system.One for the GUI, this could be an ATI Radeon HD 5770 for Mac OR a NVIDIA Quadro 4000 for Mac if you want to go with a NVIDIA Quadro 4000 for Mac as a GPU. This is the card to connect with the Monitor.
AND a second card as a GPU in your case NVIDIA Quadro 4000 for Mac Make sure, that there is NO Monitor connected to any port of this card! Ist just theGPU for image processing not for displaying anything.we sold many of these systems to our customers and they are all making money with them…

P.S. you cannot use the ATI Radeon HD 5770 for Mac as a GUI card and a NVIDIA Quadro FX 4800 for Mac as a GPU, because they are both 2 slots width and you’ll run out of space in the Mac Pro

There is a Resolve / ARRI Alexa Workflow white-paper released from ARRI which explains exactly this workflow for FCP and Avid.
I couldn’t find it now.

On Feb. 14th ARRI released the ALEXA Software Update Packet 3.0.
Before this there was no RAW Support on the camera.
As Jamie already wrote it should work in the actual Version of Resolve.Jens
