Yes and it was still giving me problems. Said something to the affect of not being able to log and capture clips online.

That’s good to hear. How can one tell if it can play both HDV and SD footage? I figure if it could play HDV it could naturally play SD. Just wanted to make sure before I buy it.

Thanks for the info.

I guess going for a walkman player type deck was what I was thinking of. In particular the Sony GV-HD700 High Definition Walkman. I’m not sure if this product, or anyone similar to it, would be compatible for playing HDV and SD mini DV tapes.
