I’ve noticed it with .avi’s at least twice. I’ve realized that when I render the files they are back to normal so its just an issue in the timeline.

There are no FX anywhere. If I preview the file in the explorer it looks normal, but then when I drag it down onto the timeline it has significantly higher contrast– even if I put the file on a brand new video track. I seriously can’t figure this out.

Thanks for responding, that’s interesting. You prefer MPEG2 over AVI for this type of process? What are it’s advantages? Thanks!
