    Thanks.

I just found it odd that it seems minutes after a make a post, it’s on Google but sometimes my regular website pages never seem to end up there. I just thought there was some trick. Guess not.

Are you just trying to rotate a canvas in Photoshop? As long as it’s on it’s own layer and not a background, just go Edit/Transform/Rotate. You get handles you can rotate you image or you can put in the exact degree’s in on top. There is a hot key for this. On a mac it’s Apple/t . then control click for the type of transform.

    This is very basic photoshop.

The crop tool sounds right to me. It would seem a bit easier than trying to create a screen to the exact dimension that you final image will be. With the crop took you can set it up exactly as you wish before cropping.

I do not believe you will find a solution to do it the other way.

    Thanks Curtis,

You are right, it was a bit too busy. Since it was all a big learning project, I went a little overboard. Simplified it a little this weekend.

The blogs all don’t have the same style because they are WordPress blogs and I have not yet learned how to create my own.

    Thanks again for the feedback.

May 28, 2008 at 10:31 pm in reply to: Contact sheets in Photoshop

OK, lets try this one more time. I know you can make contact sheets in Photoshop. I’ve been doing it for years. And I know you can have the file names as captions, but as far as I know that’s the only captions you can have.

I also know you can use Bridge to create contact sheets using InDesign with meta data but as far as I know, not Photoshop.

So now I ask again, and if you know could you please tell me how, can you make a photoshop contact sheet with file info. The files all have descriptions in the meta data that I need to add to the contact sheet. I really don’t want to use InDesign (although I am thinking I may have to).

    Thanks again

Well, yes, I know how to make contact sheets and maybe I’m missing something here, but I was looking for a way to add data descriptions that are in file info to the contact sheets. Sorry if I didn’t make that clear.

Thanks Curtis, I’ll give this a try. Going from using GoLive to doing all the coding by hand and it’s making my head hurt. Yet there is progress.

Expect a lot of dumb questions as a get into this more.

    Thanks again!
