I have both FCP 4.5 and Xpress Pro on my G4 w/ no problems. You can also bring in LiveType QuickTimes into Avid! Very Cool!

I finally fixed the problem by bringing the video in with the setting of non-controllable device. It fixes the drift, but does not give me timecode. So as far as I’m concerned it still is unacceptable.

    Having the same problem.

When I pull up a tutorial that I am working on all the featues appear, so I don’t know if reinstalling is the answer. The problems appear when I try to open a new project, although the preferences are still frozen.

I have the new G5 Quad w/4.5G RAM and Motion 2. When I installed the first day everything came up fine. On the second day I started having the problems of not being able to make a new project, open a template, or open the canvas, etc. As far as permissions, it says I have both read & write capabilities.

    Thanks Jim and Happy Holidays!

The restart has appeared to fix it.

I have FCP Rescue 5, but it is now not working w/ my new FCP

Have tried restart. Scopes came back, but do not change when I move to another clip.
