    I am brand new to Motion and I going thru the tutorial. Cannot get the canvas, project or timing pane to appear. Also am not able to start a new project or open a template. I know I new to this app, but I am chasing my tail. I need help!

    Trash prefs and reinstall. Also make sure you have the latest updates.

    1. Hardware and software versions/specs?

    2. Do you have the necessary OS permissions to open, use and write with the necessary folders?

    I have the new G5 Quad w/4.5G RAM and Motion 2. When I installed the first day everything came up fine. On the second day I started having the problems of not being able to make a new project, open a template, or open the canvas, etc. As far as permissions, it says I have both read & write capabilities.
