  • Everyone has nailed it – you need to set up Compressor for clustering;

You may need to reinstall compressor (as well) because likely, the installer had the auto clustering to ‘off’. Last, make sure you have a Gig E network, as you’ll be pushing around files and it’s important that they go fast, fast, fast.

  • Yes.

Make sure the path is on a separate layer.
Take a basic brush + write on.
    Paint the path.
Add an Image mask to the path layer.
Drag the basic brush to it.

Since the brush is painting on the alpha, it should paint the path on.

Paul, have you looked at this on an NTSC monitor (or just the motion preview?)

    Tom,

Frankly, it’s totally different. As terrence said, all your MC experience? It’s about worth one day.

Sure, you can skip what “Insert, Overwrite” is…but you’ll have to come to grips about how trimming works (easy) and how effects work (totally completely different.)

Feel free to drop me an email with any direct questions.

Choose towards the top of the timeline fast/hamburger menu “Wrap”. If Xpro doesn’t have it (and I don’t have a copy of it here…), just make your tracks taller (CNTRL/CMD-L) and it’ll stop;.

    Joel,

I’m willing to bet that you’re on a fat32 drive and that you’re running into a 2gb limit.

Realistically, you’ll cause a confusion along the USB bus. Probably the first machine will ‘own’ the drive.

Why not set up sharing on the MAC or PC?

Try making an image of all the FCS DVDs to your machine – there may be an error on the DVDSP materials (an it would need replacing.)

Alternatively, do a custom install of everything BUT DVSP.
