Premiere Pro? Handles DSLR.
Avid? Handles DSLR?
Vegas? Yeah, you get the point.Basically, it’ll work out of the box – except that it’ll work hard. Want a decent codec to transcode it to? Cineform – but you’ll pay them for it.

They’re stored the Device central stuff in your Main Library:
/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Device Central/CS5/Presets/AME
You’re not finding it because spotlight is set to NOT search ‘system’ files.
If you do a search in the finder…
Switch it to file name (from content.)
Then hit the plus (next to save on the right side).
Then go to the drop down and change kind to “other” – add System files and then choose ‘are included”

Open a clip in the viewer. Modify: set speed to 150%. Drop your markers. When finished, set the speed back to 100%.

Does the problem happen on the original footage? Rapid pans with DSLR footage (which is what I’m assuming you’re using) is a mistake.

You’re going to find that the ‘big tools’ – Sorenson, Adobe Media Encoder, and Episode all use the same encoder – made by MainConcepts.
Beyond that? We know you’re on a mac – you really should pull down each and see what works best with your workflow…

If you’re working at HD? I’d probably choose DVCPro HD – it’s a CBR Codec (the encode should be fast) and it’s the beefiest out of those choices.
I’d run a test to see how ‘long’ it’ll really take.

If you ‘hit the mark’ with the way the DNxHD QuickTime clips are created, they should open in MC in 1.25 Real time…not 7 hours.
Also, toss them into a folder and try AMA.

Wow, sorry for being dense (must have missed the title and just read DVD/Avid).
1) @24- nope, nothing uscentric about Avid DVD. Should do 23.98, 25 and 30 for blu ray.
2) – I only have the old version…not the blu ray (Sorry again!
3) generally, you want the BluRay to match the frame rate of your material.I remember reading a discussion where people advocated bypassing Sorenson squeeze and letting Avid DVD do the work (don’t know if you used squeeze)
