From reading what the manual says, it looks like it’s automatically setting it on a random I frame – I don’t think you can specify it.

You’re working with what type of footage? SD? HD? SD widescreen or SD 4:3?
Why 800×400? That’s a very strange video size. That’s 2:1 (which no camera shoots, short of a Red.)
If you could give us a little more to go on…

Well, the processor issue has to do with the way Motion was written..
I don’t know if this will work – under the media tab in motion, select your file and press F4 (for the objects tab of the inspector.) Turn off FIxed resolution, which will mean it’s the same as constantly rasterizing in AE.
Might not make a difference…..but then again….

Trash the preferences. In you user\LIbrary\Preferences\com.apple.motion.plist (and dvdsp.plist)
If this doesn’t happen, do a reinstall, but this time use the https://www.digitalrebellion.com/fcsremover/“>utility FCS uninstaller

It’s not mapped. You’ll find it (I think) in the Application, not the panels under keyboard mapping.

CS 5 won’t work as a trial because they can’t let you use the XDCam codecs (licensing issues) without paying.
I believe the CS 5.5 will work as a trial install.

Name the batch should fix it. “Save” the batch as a file name that you want the output to be.

You’ve already seen the right answer – that it’s likely an NTFS drive.
If you’re on Win7 and the Mac is 10.6.5 or later, you should reformat the drive as exFAT – it’ll let you read/write on both platforms AND have large file sizes.
