  • Sorry, Ann, I’m not seeing what you refer to. Are you able to post a screen grab?

Wow. Thank you cows! I just came here to post about this very issue after the 5th full-volume in my headphones snap…

I contacted Adobe Support yesterday and it’s a known issue. Their only recommendation other than ‘trying not to wear headphones when editing’ — I work in an open environment office and it’s a courtesy and necessity actually, most days…

…was to Export XML and import it into CC2014 to do media exports. Nothing for helping the immediate issue while editing.

    I’ll try the above suggestions.

SIDE NOTE —- anyone else finding that it glitches in the fact that it will mute/unmute based on what you’ve clicked while playing?

  • I see that ‘restarting playback’ / at playback end is truly… the end of the timeline jumping back to the beginning. Not what I was looking for.,

  • Thanks – both pieces of info help. However, it’s 25 photos and the music is looped to create a 10 minute “piece” – so I forgot to mention that the photos can’t be “mind-numbingly boring slow fades” so that 25 photos over 10 minutes misses client eyeballs.

But that helps – how I can assign some default still image lengths when importing.

    Thank you
    Jeff

Yeah – I’m a new user and that’s an instinctive thing I wanted to be able to do.
+/- works well (as a photoshop user, I found myself using OPTION-mouse wheel scroll — it’s slick) but “double clicking” or maybe you have to create a hot key to “widest zoom view”

Looking forward to any answers to follow!

Thanks for the reply. But that is what I was alluding to before, sorry for being unclear.

The editor is saying that isn’t an option; I haven’t gotten information yet as to which Mac OS and which AVID version.

Which versions are you running on? Avid / Mac OS?

    Several.

And I think another user posted something about having to switch to an SD sequence to export OMF these days.

As with most ‘hidden formats’ nowadays, just takes an extra step or two but can still be done.

(having to explain to many people how to export a Motion JPEG-A from Final Cut over the past while)

Thanks, hahahaha, I guess there’s a bit of job security for awhile then (chuckle).

But I know Final Cut has a number of ‘workable’ tracks and was just wondering how AVID is comparing/coming along in that angle because we all know that certain-budget/size shows are done in/able to be done in the edit system.
