  • Restarting playback from where I hit play just prior?

Posted by Jeff Friah on July 17, 2015 at 2:25 pm

In General Prefs I have clicked ON for “At playback end, return to beginning when restarting playback” – I’m hoping to be able to:

Hit play, and when I hit stop, cursor for playback goes back to where it originated. I’m a sound editor primarily and used to this workflow and also cannot figure out how to have pre roll engaged, it is currently set for 5 seconds but playback begins immediately at cursor point.

    Thanks for any assistance!

I see that ‘restarting playback’ / at playback end is truly… the end of the timeline jumping back to the beginning. Not what I was looking for.,

Check out all the options for “play” in the Keyboard short cuts Menu.

You might want Play Around or Play In to Out
