July 6, 2018 at 1:58 am in reply to: Why does chromakeyer effect not get turned off when I deselected the chromakeyer in video fx?Wow – I spoke too soon. The problem has not been fixed. The lower video track still shows up as the background even though I deleted the chromokeyer fx effect.
I attached 2 screen shots. In the top picture, you can see I have deleted the chromokeyer fx effect. I had chromokeyed it to green screen in the video of me speaking as the announcer voiceover.
But I turned it off – as explained above, I moved the voiceover announcer clip vid and now there is a different background scenery clip on the lower video track.
The second screen shot shows that the background lower vid track still appears even though the chromokeyer effect has been deleted. As you know – w the chromokeyer effect deleted, we should be seeing simply my top video of me with my green screen in the background and not having the lower vid track also appear.
This is not a hugh problem as the green screen effect in the live video is still pretty good but could prob be a hair better on the new background scene part if I could tweak it.
This has been really hard to explain via written word. Hope this clarifies it.

July 6, 2018 at 1:49 am in reply to: Why does chromakeyer effect not get turned off when I deselected the chromakeyer in video fx?Thanks for the reminder. I did one about 3 months ago but I probably need to do it again.
I’m going to get files out of my internal hard drive tomorrow and save them to an external drive so I can get the percent of space used down low. That should help too.
Thanks

I think it might have do w my computer. The internal hard drive is 75% full and I know that is not good. My computer seems to have some lag involved. Delayed reactions possibly is what caused the issue. For some reason, there seems to be some type of delay on certain changes I make. I’m all set now. Thanks!

Sorry that I keep posting to myself but some additional things occurred to me and I don’t see a way to edit my previous post.
I see that one of the selections when rendering is “mainconcept AVC/AAC mp4 but the reason I am thrown off is that for the required video specs I was told to use “Video for Windows” so I could use the H.264 specified codec.
So how would I then select MainConcept AVC/AAC?

January 17, 2018 at 3:25 pm in reply to: Sound envelopes using the blue line sound adjustment . . .I uploaded the screenshot of my timeline in my profile under, “files” and left it public.
Are you able to go to my profile, and click on the “file” link? IF so – you’ll see the screen shot.

January 17, 2018 at 3:14 pm in reply to: Sound envelopes using the blue line sound adjustment . . .I listen to the sound on my computer laptop speakers – dual speakers.
Then after I burn the video – I watch it on my tv.
I don’t know why I can’t upload the image. It’s smaller then the allowed file size.
I tried some other formats besides Word but it still won’t upload.
The instructions do not specify what file type is required.
Do you know what file type the image has to be?

January 16, 2018 at 8:52 pm in reply to: Does rendering with preview set to, “draft” speed up rendering?I just tried it out. I set the preview to, “draft”. Soon as you hit render, it changes the preview setting to, “best full”.

January 16, 2018 at 8:07 pm in reply to: Does rendering with preview set to, “draft” speed up rendering?I meant to say that settings in the preview window do not impact the quality of the video image that gets rendered.
However, will rendering time be reduced if I set the preview to, “draft”?

January 16, 2018 at 7:33 pm in reply to: Sound envelopes using the blue line sound adjustment . . .I found the text that I wrote. Still trying to get the screenshot in. Are you able to go to my profile and click files and get it? I left it public. Not sure if that’s how it works.
Here’s the text.
Here is my timeline with the voice soundtrack (top) and music soundtrack (bottom).
I hope this helps.
You asked how do I monitor my sound levels – uh I don’t. I guess based on your question – I should be doing that.
Will you please explain what I am supposed to be doing in that regard?
So far, what I have been doing – is simply recording the sound to a minidv tape and then capturing the recorded sound to my computer. I don’t set any sound levels when recording – I think the camcorder does that?
Then I just put the sound clips on my timeline.
I set the master bus slider in the upper, right-hand corner of Movie Studio so the slider is about 20% from the top of the slider measure. I know that the sound is not supposed to go into the red on that meter and I do check to make sure it’s not going into the red.
I set the volume control sliders on the left-hand side to 0.0 for both voice and music.
One thing I realized – is when I took the different audio music tracks that I am using (most of them from the Youtube, royalty free channel) and placed them on my timeline, I didn’t think to make the soundwaves match. Moving forward, I prob should do that – I assume. Hopefully, you can see in my screenshot of my sound that some of the music has wave lines that are higher and bigger than the others. You can see that I adjusted the sound levels up and down accordingly using the blue line sound level adjuster thingy.
I went in and tweaked everything and I am about to burn the movie to my drive again and I’m hoping the sound is all at the right level now.
ON the first burn, certain sections of the music was too overwhelmingly loud.
I thought it was odd that I had to bring the blue line down to almost the bottom to get the right sound level. Also – as previously mentioned, the sound seemed to only go down lower only by moving the blue sound level waaaayyyy down.
Smaller adjustments – I did not notice a significant lowering of the sound – until I moved the blue level line to almost the bottom.
Thanks for any help anyone can provide!
