  • I was tied up w other matters and not able to work on my project since I was last here. I now have some time and so have started working on my project again. Btw – my project is finished and I’ve burned it to blu-ray and also posted it on the internet. Here is a link where you can see several previews. One of the previews gives you 10 -15 minutes or so:

However, I’m sending it around and some places only accept dvd.

So – if I get the dual layer dvd’s – and my project does not exceed 8.5 gb- am I correct to assume I don’t need to do all of the bit-rate stuff?

I.e. – it seems much simpler to just get the dual layer dvd’s. Is this advisable or should I follow the instructions as regards the bit rates?

Thanks for all of the help!

  • I always set my project settings to 1980 by 1040 but I will double check that and report back.

However, I rendered the project previous to using the template that I set to compress as per the website hosting company spec guidelines and it was not letterboxed. Since I rendered the project using the template that I set up to compress – the project STILL comes out letterboxed – even when i use other templates.

I’ll double check all of the settings as per your advice and report back.

    Thanks,

  • Thank you for your responses. I’m tied up now but I’ll get you some better screen grabs in a little bit.

I shrunk the ones I already posted down – as I was afraid they would exceed the size limits. I can make them bigger and maybe do two separate uploads.

If you position your cursor to the right and left click on your screen and then do CTRL + you can enlarge the images. I’ll still try to post some better larger screen shots cause the images are somewhat blurry when enlarging them that way.

The top sg was meant to show that there is no fx activated – but given what you said – I will double check that and post a better screen grab. You might have hit the nail on the head. Also- thanks for the info on the bypass. I did not know about that so thanks for teaching me something new. I’ll definitely check that out and post back the results.

    Thanks!

I just tried doing ctrl + to make increase the size of the image (of the attached screen grabs) but that does not seem to work in this format for some reason.
