It seems you have already added Chapter End Actions? If so, then to make a Play All function you need to add all of the chapters to a Chapter Playlist and then link the Play All button to the playlist.

In the Properties panel, open the Link drop-down list and choose the Specify Link… option. You can set audio and subtitle tracks from there.

So I need more details about the project structure.
From what I understand, the first play timeline’s end action is linked to the Main Menu, but instead of going to the Main Menu it goes…where? Please outline the rest of your project structure.
Also, when you preview the first play timeline, are you using File | Preview or are you using Preview From Here? Try the other one and see what happens.
Have you tried burning your project to an RW disc and testing in a hardware DVD player? How about building a disc image and then mounting it with something like VirtualCloneDrive or Daemon Tools and playing the DVD with a software DVD player? Maybe it’s an issue with Encore’s preview only.

Hi Scott,
None of the stuff in Encore 2.0 or CS3 or CS4 that makes navigation easy is available in 1.5. So there’s not much in this thread that will apply to you.
So it’s back to basics. Remove every single override that is set anywhere in your project and test the navigation again.

The timeline ends when the last chapter ends. The error message is telling you that the end action for the timeline won’t execute because you have an end action on the last chapter, which will get executed first.
You don’t need an end action on the last chapter – that’s what the timeline’s end action is for.
FYI – you don’t need to set *any* chapter end actions if you want all the chapters to play in order. Link to the first chapter of a timeline and all of the chapters will play in order. Only use chapter end actions if you want playback to branch off to another timeline or menu when a chapter is finished.

“Started from scratch”
Does that mean a brand-new project, or did you just change the settings for the existing project?
If all you did was change the project settings, then you may have caused the issue, depending on what steps you took to get the file to transcode again.
What I would do is select the dynamically-linked Pr sequence in the Project panel and go to File | Revert to Original. Save the project. Then go to Edit | Preferences | Media and clean the Media Cache Database. Try again to transcode the updated Pr sequence via Transcode Now. If the encoding fails at that point, then something else is going on.

If all of your video clips are in separate timelines, then you need to add the timelines to a standard Playlist. Add a “Play All” button to the menu that links to the Playlist.

Sorry. I misunderstood. I thought you were having trouble saving the changes you made to the settings.
If I understand correctly now, you want to have the Edit Quality Presets dialog to open up with your last saved/used preset showing instead of whatever default preset Encore chooses to show you. Is that right?
I don’t know a way to do that. If it’s important to you, please file a feature request here.
