DVD is SD. Your 1080p is downconverted, downsampled and down-qualitied when you transcode it for DVD. For higher quality than SD DVD, you must move to Blu-Ray or HD-DVD. Personally, I would wait to do that until one format achieves a clear market advantage over the other. No sense in jumping on to the wrong side of another Beta/VHS war.

Also, if your source is DV, why do you want to export to progscan? Progressive scan should be reserved for progressive sources, most notably film in commercial DVDs.

Apply it to one clip. Copy. Select the other 499 clips with the Track Select tool. Paste. Not a perfect solution, but hardly worth the angst.

Reportedly, this issue has been fixed for the full version of the plugin (the one that works in PPro) with the 2.1.2 update, but I haven’t installed it yet to test.

Hi Frank,
If you didn’t move the Library, then it is located under Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Encore DVD 2.0\Library\General. It will be listed as NTSC_Blank Menu or PAL_Blank Menu or the WIDE versions of either one.
If you can’t find it there, then you have other issues to deal with. If it is there but not showing up inside of Encore, then post back. Hopefully we can fix that.

In PPro 2.0 you have to add a menu to get chapter markers to work.

You can’t do much with subpictures. They can be shaped, single-color and partially/completely transparent but that’s it. It’s not Encore’s fault – that’s how the DVD spec is set up to handle subpictures.
You can trick the audience into thinking that you have fancy cursor highlights by using a combination of multiple identical menus and auto-activate buttons.

Which chapter markers? The ones at the end of the timeline or the ones placed closely together?
Deletion of your markers at the end of the timeline should fix that problem; the closely-spaced markers may be trickier to solve. What are you trying to accomplish?
