I’ve created an image that will act like a curser to the highlighted button. However, when I go back to Encore from photoshop, the image has turned into a color blob. The shape is maintained, but is filled with a solid color. Any suggestions, anyone?

You can’t do much with subpictures. They can be shaped, single-color and partially/completely transparent but that’s it. It’s not Encore’s fault – that’s how the DVD spec is set up to handle subpictures.

You can trick the audience into thinking that you have fancy cursor highlights by using a combination of multiple identical menus and auto-activate buttons.

look to Tutorial #9 of the advanced section of my site http://www.sitesled.com/members/doogs/downloads.htm it will show you how to go about it. Just adapt the process for your own needs (tutorial is for Encore 1.5)
