    Yes, it is also used by EVS within their Live production workflow.

    “re-compression” may depend upon the codec being used on the recieving end but SDI inherently does “re-sampling” in a component digital fashion. Thus, creating some degredation, however seemingly acceptable to most.

    SDTI, while ‘neat’ has never really found traction being a file transfer method. Fibre Channel coupled with San solutions have almost negated most SDTI develpement into workflow solutions. Now, primarily a source of confustion. 😉

    Does SD material look good for proper monitoring using these displays or is it only good for HD?
