I use the Project Manager to trim projects on a regular basis and have not encountered any problems with our PC crashing. Although, I did have one project that became corrupted and sometime crashed when opening. It was a monthly show that I trimmmed each month and then reused the project. This was done to save time because the project had all of the elements; i.e., graphics, wave files and animations needed. I resolved the problem by creating a new project and importing my elements again. Since I’ve done that there has been no problems.

Our editing system has been stable with the v5.2.2 driver. We have not experienced the problems that you have been reporting. Maybe it is due to the hardware you are using; ie, MB, raid card or other PCI cards. We are going to try the latest driver this week. I’ll report if we encounter any problems.

Our system is using the Matrox 128MB Parhelia on version 1.10.1.2 and the Decklink Extreme is using version 5.2.2. We have not had any conflicts for the past couple of versions of the Decklink driver.

Our system has a Parhelia and a Decklink Extreme card and there has been no problems related to the Parhelia. Everything works well together. We have never had black flashes on the output.

I am having problems with the new driver being unstable as well. Premiere Pro will crash randomly with the v5.0 driver. I will return to the old driver until a fix is made.

Your camera should be set for mic level. We have the EW100ENG-G2 system which should be similar to what you have. Both the G2 wireless transmitter and the reciever have adjustments for audio levels. Your problem most likely is either the transmitter or the receiver sensitivity is set too high.

1. Start by setting a good level with your transmitter. There is a menu you can go into to set the incoming level. (On our transmitter there is a VU meter you can reference)

2. After getting a proper level on the transmitter then you should set the AF output of the receiver. (We usually reference the VU meter on our camera as well as the receiver) Basically I try to achieve a “middle of the road” setting that allows for headroom between loud and quiet sounds.

I discovered another way to render audio clips that seem to solve my issue. What I did was to highlight the clips with effects and then under the “Clip” dropdown menu you can chose Audio and then select “Render and Replace.” This rendered the audio and replaced the original. It also put a copy of the audio clip in the bin.

I first tried using “Render and Replace” with my entire sequence highlighted but I still had level drops with audio. But when I did “Render and Replace” on clips individualy everything worked great. Is this the correct way to render audio clips with effects?

To my knowledge everything in the sequence has been rendered. The work bar is stretched over the entire 30 minutes of my sequence. The titles on the video clips have rendered so I believe the audio effects also were rendered as well.

Following below are some of the things I have done to try and solve this mystery but have been unsuccesfull.
1. I have deleted the conformed audio and rerendered.
2. I have deleted my media, re-batch digitized and rerendered.
3. I have copied everything on the sequence and pasted it to a new sequence.

Do you know what else I could try?
