I’d say go from AE > Premier
first off you’re dealing with transfering a 6 minute movie vs a 90 minute one. Premiere may be better at handleing/editing video vs AE that does animating and effects. It may be slower to try and render out a 96 minute movie in AE vs doing it in Premier.

As for format I’m not a master of this. but I’ll say make sure it’s a “Lossless” formate (aka you don’t lose any quality) maybe either an AVI or a Quicktime.

when I do credits and sponsors for a show I work on. I’d put the entire list into Photoshop and then save it as a loooooooooong PSD 640×2250 then I just moved the layer up over the span of a few minutes. Then play around with the duration till I found a timing that suited my needs.

There’s probably a better/easier way to do it.. but this is what works for me at the moment.

I was thinking about motion tracking as well. When some people use motion tracking for computer animation. they’ll sometimes put an actor in an all black body suit with white/refleftive dots to give the program something to track.

It seems you want your dancers to have the lights over them.. and still still see them. would it be possible to use small white/yellow sticker(circles) and then use AE to A) track them and b) cover the spots with light.
