Actually it keeps on doing these background renders, the fact that i checked the multicamere render did not seem to imporve the problem. The only thing I can do is start again. I guess the only way to get around this issue is to render the rushes in apple pro res.

    Hi Jeremy,
It’s actually located in the preference menu under “playback” section.
Your shot was close enough to take me there.
    Thanks

For me, rendering the sequence in apple pro res (original file was H264) solved the “jumping images” on titles issue.

This post was very helpul thanks.

Yup, but this doesn’t work on macbook pro laptop. I guess we need to dig into some code to adjust that.

Hi Nath I am using a I7 macbook pro end 2011 with 16GB memory and can’t read in a fluid way the GH4 4 K footage (it’s jittery) in final cut pro X, what am I doing wrong? Maybe I need to use the proxies transcoding?
    Thanks

  • Dear Robin,

“One would need to know what error message you are getting when it comes to the export. As they say, “doesn’t work” isn’t a useful or constructive error description.”

This should be answered if you read the title of the post (share menu greyed) it’s hard to be more accurate
    I guess.
    😉

Thanks to you and Bill for making it clear they the red line had nothing to do with this.
I reimported the whole thing and transcoded it.
Now it works. Is that ” a useful solved error description”?
    I guess yes..

Thanks a million to both of you.

  • Ok sorry for the previous post, the solution was already available here in this very thorough tutorial,
so there is a work around for this:

  • Before in FCPRO 7 I could exactly choose size compression and all the rest for my sequences settings. I could also trim the size of hd footage in a sd sequence. Where as now the choice is very limited in FCPRO X, when you create a sd sequence, if you want a custom sequence, like utube sized sequence, the only way to force FCPROX to do so seems to be ti import a first clip in the timeline with the adequte size, then when you bring a HD footage in it reduces it to the size of small sequence and gives 100 for size parameter in transform panel. Its weird and not practical. is there any way to correct this ?
