Hi what connection for the audio input are being used analog rca xlr or digital dv sdi we have 3 PVR-LX1 unit and never got this problem you have but it is very similar to a inverted polarity on analog audio cable got this problem once from a bad patch cable shorting the + and – and the result was that low frequency was softer and the voices are almost not audible.
And no there is no way of adjusting the audio setting of the dolby encoder on the pioneer

Hi Del can you give me your advise we have one hdcamsr deck and was planning to use our multibridge extrem with fcp 6.0 to make on a few occasion dub so we would capture the complete tape then output back out to a new blank tape with of course the same timecode preset will using the 10 bit uncompressed be better or ProRes hq is that good to be used this is for 422 recording rgb 444 is of course to mutch to ask for ProRes i think ??? the storage is from ciprico mediavault 5tb if prores hq is that good it wil save us a lot of space until we get a second deck and also the ProRes422 is for digibeta dvcpro 50 and the ProRes422hq is for hdcam hdcamsr and all other 422 hd format right ???

Yes the kramer is copatible with premiere but last fall a had 3 unit sent back and fort
and they could not fix a problem of chifting the video frame 2 to 3 line down from sdi
to dv so we whent with the sd connect and it is perfect the only problem is the sdi output
of the sd connect, the embeded audio is making my digibeta audio input selector flash
meaning there are no signal present but the audio is still passing but i don’t
trust it the solution for now is to used the sd connect aes audio output to the
digibeta a future firmware update will fix that we have also the hd connect-mi
and it also had this problem with sdi embeded audio that got fix with a firmware update

The pioneer LX1 is what we used we have 2 for the 2 edit system we used one is premiere and the other is FCP this dvd recorder is for pro usage with every input ouput available in ntsc and pal composite component s-vhs firewired and has an option sdi in and out, you can burn strait to dvd or to the internal hard drive and do cut trim if need be and you can transfert vob file from the hard drive via cat5 network for authoring on a pc or mac the software inside the box is linux base so future update are possible so far the suport for dual layer is not available but is supose to be comming will see .
