    You might not want to hear this but I found a much better simpler fix for problems with AfterEffects and Quicktime 7.x Someone else reported this fix on one of the Adobe User forums. Update your video card to the latest driver!!! No uninstall/reinstall of AE or Quicktime. I (and others) originally created this problem when updating iTunes (which updates Quicktime and nullifies Quicktime Pro).

    I see a post from earlier today where someone else had a simular problem after loading iTunes 6 (I loaded iTunes 5 which also installs Quicktime7). That must be my problem also because I have never had any problems with AE6.5 before now!

    If you find the solution please repost. I am having serious problem with AE6.5 crashing, especially if I try to move a layer on the timeline. The only change I have made to my workstation is loading the latest version of iTunes. (When I updated iTunes it gave a warning, “You will have to reorder QuicktimePro”
