Go to the sequence in question and you’ll see there is no in point.

    Add an in point.

The “right click, duplicate” function should work now.

    Jim,
A bit late finding your post but I’m looking for the same feature. Did you ever find a way to select “from here” in Premiere? There was such a function in the old Media 100 and it made life much easier with long projects when trying to open up a gap and work withing a sequence.
    Have you had any luck?

  • That was it Floh. I have had earlier versions of M100 and duplicates of the “Boris XML Transfer for Media 100” plug in were in my After Effects CS3, CS4, CS5 and CS5.5 folders. I deleted all but the one in the CS5.5 folder and AE started up without the error message. I hope this post saves someone else the trouble shooting time. Thanks Floh.

Thank you Ben. You did a lot of experimenting that I can benefit from. I’ll try your path tomorrow. I really want this to work.
I’ll let you know how it goes.

    Christy,
I agree with you that the standards are vague and I’ve been frustrated before trying to get answers to other legal questions from the FCC. They were very difficult to deal with especially considering I was simply trying to find out the rules so I could abide by them.
I also think Bob has an anger issue and you should ignore his pompous insulting attitude. This is normally a friendly, helpful and supportive forum and there’s no place or reason for rudeness.
    Good Luck,

The reason different sources say different things about what the demo version can and cannot do is explained better in the fine print:
These trial versions are fully functional, so every feature and aspect of the product is available for you to test-drive.*
    (BUT)
*The trial version of Adobe Premiere® Pro CS4, does not include some features that depend on software licensed from parties other than Adobe. For example, some codecs for encoding MPEG formats are available only with the full version of these products.

That may be why you can’t import XDCAM (mxf) clips into the trial version.
