I started working. I had to re-import the media files again.

No the share section is all greyed out

Yea I checked and it looks like the path leads to my desktop. I changed the path to the folder on my externak Hard Drive. I’m at work now so i’ll know when if it worked when I get home from work. Can you guys think of any other step I could be missing?

Ok I think I know what the problem is, I have my original files stored on an External Hard drive. How do I get FCP X to read the files off the external?

I’m editing this music video on my laptop but it has a horrible lag so its making it hard to edit.

Its a MacBook Pro (2.4 GHz 8GB 1067 MHz DDR3) <— If that matters

I have plenty of space on my hard drive but it still lags.
