Hi Kevin
In true Columbo fashion ‘ just one more question’
Having just reading your previous post regarding RAM configurtions and splitting it over the 2 risers if i get the 4G I can afford would you regard the following to be a suitable set-up
riser a – slot 1: 2gb
riser a – slot 2: 1gb (orig ram)
riser a – slot 3: empty
riser a – slot 4: emptyriser b – slot 1: 2gb
riser b – slot 2: 1gb (orig ram)
riser b – slot 3: empty
riser b – slot 4: emptymany thanks

I have a similar issue
If i reposition the anchor point on the first frame as suggested (tracking data applied) it reverts to the offset on the next frame and thereafter…..am I missing something?
In my case I am zooming into an old retro tv. (footage to be overlayed in post). The screen has very rounded corners so I am using a mask. (as apposed to corner pinning a square)
The most useful tracking points are the corners of the case of the tv. but as I say I am struggling to find a way to reposition the anchor point of the mask so it scales and repositions for the full track. Many thanks in advance …..

Cheers for all your help
Its really frustrating when something you think that is going to be relatively simple turns out to be a pain.

thanks
that solved it!!

Thanks for the replies
Strangely googling it and reading the online manual where my first ports of call.
That didnt bear any fruition so hence ending up here. I know what it can do and I know what its is capable of but I cannot get it too run in a sequential effect.

Thanks Steve
I noticed the Z setting on dance but it all seemed rather random in control terms (albeit in the z axis) even with a solid gradient. Its the sequential factor of each ‘card’ moving into place one after the other (left to right, column after column – a bit like wipe but in the z axis) thats important in this spot which is why I ended up looking at wipe.
So sorry to go on but I have to reiterate the question.

Thanks for all the advice in this potential mine field
It seems the Dell are a good bet for the money, albeit a bit bright by quite a few reviews. I was impressed with a company offering a zero tolerance to dead pixels on these monitors
It also seems that Eizo come high in alot of peoples estimations – if you have the cash (which at the mo, i dont and its above my requirements)
The Apple dead pixel policy or vagueness of is a worry from what I have read although i didnt think think twice on that when buying this mac book on which i now type ;O)
So thanks for giving a editing newbie a foot up when cash REALLY does matter.

Hi
Just so we are on the same page Im not taking about using footage from AAA Blockbusters and the like more low key and documentaries. Think title sequences for music(mtv-ish) style programs or factual documentaries/indie films.
I dont really have the sort of money these stock images sites are charging.
This is a career changing Show reel not a school project…..my education days are looooooooooooong gone :O)
Thanks for the advice thus far
