    Hi

Is it possible that you can set a 3d shape created in Pro Invigorator as the Obscuration layer in light factory,

At the moment I cannot get it to work

I guess the problem is created by the alpha layer being output by Pro inv being a comp sized solid (the actual shape is not comp sized its a silhouette of a man)

Is there a way to have the alpha layer to be the same shape as the 3d shape or will it always be comp sized.

I hope this is clear enough

    Thanks in advance

    Hi Jay,

I’m guessing you have a couple of options. One would be to render the Invig movie then bring that movie back into your comp. The alpha channel will behave as you would expect.

You might also try putting your Invig layer into a precomp. This should force AE to render what’s in the precomp before applying additional effects to that layer.

    Let us know what works.
