Hi Tim, thanks for the reply… I’ve actually managed to get a stereo sequence but when it comes to exporting it always comes out as mono. If you look at the file’s metadata it shows one audio track which contains 16 channels of discrete audio. We’re just looking to find a way of exporting a mov that contains 8 stereo pairs.

Just seems a bit dumb that you cant split the stereo tracks, work as 16 channels, then for export make it 8 stereo pairs again.

Maybe I’m looking at it with an FCP hat on, but it was so much more intuitive. It’s frustrating the way the sequence is locked down once you create it. Or maybe U’m missing something somewhere.

    Thanks again

    Jason

Thanx for the help, the particles are moving in a circular upwards motion as i wanted, but i cant seem to get them to go out of vision as they go round the object.

    What ive done so far:

Ive created a particle emmiter from the sparkle mov in content. Ive got the emmission range set to 7% so its got a trail of sparkles. I would like the emmiter itself (the nose of it for want of a better word) to follow the orbit around path and have the emmissions always behind it depending on the path it takes. Is this possible?

It seems so easy to describe in my head but on paper its not so easy.

I suppose a shooting star coming in to view orbiting around and up the object (which i will have turned off and placed over the image of a person so it looks like its passing behind them) and when the trail moves up i can crop the image following the motion of the sparkle trail to remove the person.

This is the concept of what i want,

Am i going in the right direction?

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Thanx Jay

Nah, what im trying to do is reconnect a mov to an existing fcp project, but as Dolby E cannot be edited (other than straight cuts) i want to connect tracks 1&2 to tracks 3&4 now. Originally the stereo tracks were on tracks 1&2, but now Dolby E sits in them tracks.

I can always get them re-ingested with the audio swapped, but trying to avoid that.

    Thanx in advance

    Jason
