Mark, you should check out the Switronix TorchLED Bolt
I bought one a few months back and I love it. $300 bucks. I have used the Litepanels Micro a few times and, frankly, it’s crap. No comparison as far as output. The TorchLED is way brighter, with a much longer throw, is dimmable and has daylight and tungsten colored LEDs, so you can pick your color temp or blend them as needed. It also comes with a D-tap cable for power.Jason Jenkins

So you’re going through three conversions to get to your final output? You’ll get much better results if you just go straight from the timeline to whatever file type you need. If you are looking for small .mov’s, then the Share > Email export may get you there.

The OS 10.7.4 update is supposed to improve the OpenCL perfomance of Premiere Pro CS6. I wonder if it gives FCPX an OpenCL boost as well.

Turns out it is an OS thing. In System Preferences under General there is a checkbox “Restore windows when quitting and re-opening apps”. Once I unchecked that box, FCPX stopped automatically mounting the disk image.
