10.0.4 automatically mounts disk image
FCPX 10.0.4 is automatically mounting the last disk image/event that I worked with. The whole idea behind using disk images was only showing/loading the events I want to work on. I can still open any other disk images I want FCPX to see, but it always wants to see the other as well! Is there a setting somewhere I don’t know about?

Turns out it is an OS thing. In System Preferences under General there is a checkbox “Restore windows when quitting and re-opening apps”. Once I unchecked that box, FCPX stopped automatically mounting the disk image.

It’s not a bug, it’s a feature!
Actually, now that I think about it, that’s precisely correct.
It’s a change to the foundational OS that’s going to be useful to a zillion folks who want to go “right back where I was” when exiting and re-entering their computer use – and temporarily annoying to Video Editing Disk Image users until we understand the new process.
Ah, the digital revolution. It’s so much simpler!
