All my 3D Warp renders are freezing on the last frame. I can get around it by rendering to a Targa sequence, but I still have to force quit AE every time. I’m going to try disabling multiprocessing to see if that helps.

I turned all the quality options down; geometry at 10×10, preview on 1/4, layer on draft. That certainly makes things faster. The funny thing is when I turned the quality option back up it’s still much faster than it was originally. Can’t explain it, but it’s a good thing. Also, if I RAM preview from the Time Controls palette, it doesn’t freeze up. I do keep getting an error, though, and it killed my last render. I had to force quit AE and the error message dialogue won’t go away. It says:
Warning: Recovering from scene data error for
command [[AlertUsersOfOffscreenWindows]]
for class [[InvigSceneManager]] at byte 912.Any clues what that means? Off to try another render…

[paul strilka] “My second offer was for a website. I would shoot a 10 minute interview segment then edit in B roll and text. And they want it “flashy”. I quoted $400 for the job ($200 to shoot. $200 to edit)
They basically responded – telling me I was not even in the ball park of other quotes.”They were probably surprised that your quote was so low. Add another zero to that quote and you will be in the ball park.

[Steve Wargo] “What I’d really like to is for people to stop saying that they are “filming” when the only film they know about is the film that covers them after not bathing for a few days.”
C’mon Steve, “filming” sounds so much better than “videotaping”. I tend to use “shooting” though.

David,
If you have the time and resources to go on a crusade to make somebody pay, that’s your choice. In my opinion, this is not about what is right or wrong, it’s about what works and what doesn’t work. You’ve proven beyond a doubt that what you are doing/using does not work.
My advice: Stop typing. Stop analyzing. Move on. Don’t look back.

Sounds like a guy in the Seattle area that is constantly posting on Craigslist for interns or editors. I don’t have much respect for someone who’s business model requires a steady stream of intern/students who work for next to nothing.

It’s hard to believe they would pay big money to license that music for a spec ad.

[Gav Bott] “My post or the OT?
I can’t realy drum up business from this side of the water on the back of his project? Or maybe RC squibs mean something other than radio controlled explosives at your end, if so, sorry, my bad.
It sounded like a recipie for less fingers and more gore than the shoot intended when I read it.
The Brit in Brisbane
The Pomme in Production – Brisbane Australia.”It was a facetious response to the original post –it didn’t seem quite right for the Business and Marketing forum.
