That’s true, but the script interface alone just makes it way easier to find commands and edit them. If you know exactly what you’re searching for, you can easily find it in the TXT file, but that’s not always the case.

After Effects team recommends using as many physical cores for multi-processing as you have available on your system. So if it’s 16, then set the RAM per core and reserve CPUs for other apps until you reach that number.

Ok, just went through the steps to get this running in CC 2014 because somebody else asked me about it. Once you paste the script into the ‘Scripts’ folder and load up after effects, you’ll get that error telling you it can’t locate the shortcuts file. Take a note of where the script is looking to find the file. I physically went into that directory first to find the shortcuts file so I didn’t get lost later. Push OK on the error box in AE and you’ll be asked to locate the file. Navigate to the location of the folder where the script is looking. There are a bunch of “Adobe After Effects 13.0 Pref…” files (or 12.0 if you’re looking in the CC folder) Look for the file called “Adobe After Effects 13.0 Win en_US Shortcuts” and select it. The script should now be working.

For the RAM, why not 8x4gb chips? That might save you a bit of money, but I suppose if you decided to go up to 64gb, the 4x8gb might be smarter, but that CPU only supports 32gb. I don’t know much about the other stuff except I might persuade you to consider a different CPU if you’re considering C4D usage. C4D doesn’t use any GPU to render and all your preview and renders are CPU powered. Go check this site out for benchmarks and scores https://www.c4dcafe.com/ipb/Benchmarks/cinebench.html
I have the older, but great i7-3930k (Q4 2011) I bought last year and it’s been a pretty good little work horse – got a pretty good score on that chart comparatively albeit overclocked to its max speed of 4.9ghz (not recommended).
I really comes down to CPU power and of course what combination of CPU/mobo/RAM you can afford.

Control/Command click the keyframe to reset it or change it to Continuous (circle keyframe). Once you’ve reset it, then you can select Ease In or Ease Out. Once you go Easy Ease, there’s no going back unless you reset it.

Misconception with Multi-Processing is to set it to maximum threads available whereas you should actually adjust it so that it’s using the same number of physical cores on your machine. In your case, 6. That seems to improve render times on my machine.
Advise taken from Tod Kopriva I believe.
