Never mind I had accidentally disabled AE as a module all together and now it works fine.

Just need to install these plugs to local machines, no secondary authorizing needed.

Cripes, Now I have the same problem for Boris Continuum 3. I’ve searched there website and can’t find a thread or any info/software app that will allow me to register it for network rendering.

It appears that just by having the various plugins sitting in the AE\..\plugins folder should be enough for it to work.

Mylenium or anyone have experience with this.

    Man I hate plugins sometimes….

    Thanks,

Thanks for that I found it. I looked before but you gave me that added push to check again knowing it would be there.

For others there is a stand alone package for exactly this issue at the bottom of the tutorials page for Trapcode….

You can learn to work around Zdepth issues and just use regular Maya Iffs for color and alpha….

Another bummer is that Maya 7.0 MR iffs won’t work in AE at all…so you need to convert these to tif or similar. I know that Jill Ramsey from Alias has contacted Adobe about this and they said they will fix it for the version of AE after AE 7.0 so it will be a while but in the meantime Alias is going to look into it to see if it’s something they can fix on there end…I mean Autodesk?
