I have an eSATA 2 port card from LaCie and was able to get it working with Snow Leopard by downloading drivers from a 3rd party site…it is bizarre, but I think mostly a LaCie issue.

So if I’m running snow leopard, how do I stop it from booting into 64 bit? Is it the default?

From my experience, real time(frame rate) is based on connection speed…
And yes, it pushes system audio… -
Have u looked at iChat screenshare? I use it routinely…limitations – only supports one monitor, and someone on the host computer HAS to authorize (accept)

Man, it has been awhile ago since I did this…but I’m pretty sure I did the following:
Footage was all progressive, so I didn’t have to deal with interlacing.
I used compressor and converted the SD to anamorphic using compressor’s apple setting for DV-PAL, the HD was converted the same way.. It came out with the DV-PAL codec, at the appropriate frame size.
I haven’t had any issue reported to me, so I assume it worked correctly…

I haven’t done any batch capturing…but we got a 1600 playback deck so we could actually playback and CAPTURE. It was suggested as the easiest way to recapture media…because it works off TC although it’s 1:1 time. As far as doing it with a pdw U1, I’d say reimport and reconnect…shouldn’t be that difficult. (although it is a Sony product on a Mac). 🙂

I think it was Zane who suggested that unless I needed a raid other than raid0, that there was no need for an internal raid card…
I’m running an internal 3 drive raid0 set up in Disk utility

I had recently re-installed my machine…and had rendering set as “same as sequence codec”
I just changed it to ProRes.
Forgot about that.

No…render folder is in FCP docs…on the root of my media drive (RAID0 – 3 internal 7200rpm SATA drives)
I was curious what others are using for graphics with alpha, is PNG appropriate?
