Well I guess I was applying my experience which is to work on one event at a time. So when I remove the event with custom roles assigned, it goes back to default roles only.

I understand this sounds easy…however it used to be easier…with alt held…just hover over it and click. I find that simpler than having to find and click, then press delete.

Interesting that you can’t use the range selection to remove a range of keyframes. You can only remove all automation gain on the clip or manually.

I’ve setup the keyboard to quickly remove keyframes by using the shortcut for next and previous keyframes…however, it requires you to click on the audio line before you can use that keyboard shortcut. I don’t understand the need to do this. Selecting the clip alone should allow you adjust this.

Sony has a new NEX-FS700 that can shoot full 1080 at 480fps I think?

In terms of under 5K you’ll be hard pressed to find a quality HD camera.

The new GoPro shoots reduced resolution at 120fps 🙂

Good note about the range…didnt think about that. Is there any function to remove key frames quickly? Like in fcp7 hold in Alt and the pen tool changes to a “minus” pen tool over existing key frames.

Also the keyboard shortcut only works after u click on the line (which if u arent careful can change the level)

If you use the roles “tab” … you can minimize tracks and sort of “hide” them…however this doesn’t affect storylines (primary or secondary) … is there a way to have the storylines minimize as well?

One thing I haven’t understood about ratings is the plurality of the word “rating” … there are only 2 ways to rate a clip – favorite (range or entire clip) or reject. Right? I just think of “ratings” as being deeper than just 2 options — since keywords is so expansive.

I don’t understand roles. I’ve not assigned any, but it recognizes my music track as music and VO as Dialogue. How does it know this? How is it assigned? I don’t understand roles at all…

Still getting used to the idea of “rejecting” portions of clips…seems like it could be a powerful way to create selects.

Ive been looking at the same thing. I think this is the function since it treats projects as indepentend elements. Also doesn’t seem that u can disable the auto render function…in case u want backup, but not necessarily rendered.
