  • Has anyone tried this converter? I am interested in the result about it. But I am not really sure about the third-party software, still looking forward that some NLEs like FCP can support it natively.

I find that brosoftware was extreamly similar with the Pav, and I don’t which one may be the best but seems like they all do the same thing. anyway , if this bro one didn’t work, you can try the another. Or EditReady is also worth trying.

For Vegas, actually, I prefer adobe premiere. But if vegas can take XAVC natively , that may be a good relief

For xavc codec, Pro CC V 7.2.2 can handle it but CS6 may fail. In order to carry on my work, I have to find some converters …

  • Can’t agree with you more. Many people just build thier own home net server so that they can enjoy the movies wherever they go. And any conversion will lose quality, so just keep the origianl videos then store them on some giant net server. It will be much convenient and safe. If you make them as BD, then you have to fact the damage of discs and missing , store problem.

I prefer XAVC for more HD vide quality. And this XAVC can allow you go for 4K. But for the compatiblilty, AVCHD would better. Even many NLEs saied they support XAVC , it just didn’t work. Even for Sony….but Sony has offered one plug-in that help users to import their XAVC videos

good to knwo that , first, you can update your FCP 7 into FCP X, Apple said FCP X can handle XAVC (MXF). But I have tried many different ways to load them into FCP X. Still stuck on the first step. I found a blog which refers to such steps.

Thx for your post, mate ! It really helps me a lot !

  • How about the clipwap working? I don’t want to spend $50 until I make sure it works well. But during the google searching , I found a free app which pretty much different. I found it in the apple store free mts converter, but there is no FCP output options….
