As far as I’m aware the ATI cards are non-cuda – so no…..
You’ll need NVidia GPU with the GTX285 or FX4800.

Well, we’re in constant conversation with NVidia about stuff like this and have as yet heard nothing, but I’d expect EVGA to get the 480 or 460 drivers out by the end of Q3.
Don’t expect these Macs anytime soon by the way…few months at least

USB 3.0 is a major doubt for me, and more PCIe slots is just as unlikely.
More CPU is great, but for the extra £££ you’re not going to see a huge difference as most OSX apps are still pretty weak at efficient multi-core processing
The GTX480 is helpful for GPU, but you’d probably see an NVidia announcement about the drivers before Apple say anything (And we’ve heard nothing from NVidia)
But what do I know? There could be a big lorry round the back unloading loads of new CPUs as I type 😉

AKA desks are very very nice, but it all depends on the look you’re going for. If the decor is right a big oak desk can look much nicer, or something custom built where you can recess the control surface.
Ola – where are you based? We’ve just put a Resolve in at Nordisk in Oslo and some of the NRK post team are coming over soon for a system demo so there should be a few places you can see a nicely built suite soon.

Surely you agree it’s also about customer retention – DaVinci has become a hot topic with alot of pre-orders from many levels of industry at boutique, large post and broadcast size companies. Alot of places, like at Walter’s, already use K3 cards and have the correct spec MPro – so if AJA don’t write drives alot of these places will invest in BMD cards for a relatively much lower cost and then, if they have no issues and no quality drop (Which I doubt they would) it may mean they start saving on IO in other areas too…
