Do you have the second display connected still in the same orientation? They will stay where you put them, so if you move them to a screen on the right and then re-orientate your desktop or remove the monitor then they’ll be floating in thin air where you left them…

January 6, 2012 at 12:54 pm in reply to: Slooooow FPS when using Intensity Pro (Windows)The intensity pro is not supported. Please, as suggested, read the manual for the tried and tested configurations on both OSX and Windows.
The intensity, and other BMD cards, may show up in the preference option as one driver install will generally add support for all of their cards in any application (Resolve, FCP, Premiere etc). This does not however mean that the card has been fully tested and qualified to work with the software.
More cards may be qualified in the future, but it is more likely to be hardware such as the Decklink 4K and Multibridge that give the inputs and outputs required by professional colourists.

Disk speed and RAM are not your problem.
As others have pointed out, you have no GPU acceleration on your machine. Macbookpros and iMacs should only be considered professionally for onset and conform work, they will not give you anywhere near the potential performance levels of Resolve.
The only saving grace will be when powered thunderbolt expansion chassis are available that allows you to run the GPUs required for proper performance. Even then the motherboard will be a bottleneck for the amount of processing that can be computed.

I would suggest trying the following (Working under the assumption your offline and online clips have the same naming conventions)
New Project
Conform page
Load AAF with following settings:
Import clips to media pool automatically
Set project automatically
Ignore clip filename extensionsHit go and navigate to the R3D media parent folder (make sure the MXF media isnt anywhere near it)
That should do the trick

He’s comparing PVM, not BVM.
PVM is sub £5k here, so probably around $5k US
There is no other option for entry level or Trimaster level at the moment IMO unless there’s features not present you require.

Always best to stick with the qualified Cubix units, any problems you have will probably require your own testing
