If you add the Avid FX to filler on the track above the video you want to work with you can roll the start of the track out and the effect will kick in where you want it to.

Have you tried the BCC Flicker fixer? Not it’s intended purpose, but it adds motion blur when fixing flicker so you might be able to create the look you want by experimenting.

Hi Josh,
Open the bin (or bins) with the AMA clips and select all the clips within (ctl A or cmd A). Then right click on the sequence you want to relink to and choose relink from the menu. You need to choose the option ‘selected items in ALL open bins’ (see pic) leave ‘create new sequence’ checked and Avid will create a new sequence relinked to the AMA footage. You can then grade that line or transcode it to another flavour of DNX.

You can see the clip, the timeline changes from the record timeline to the source timeline when you press the toggle button shown above. So you can load the selects sequence in the source window whilst you edit sequence is open, press the toggle button, you will then see the timeline for you selects sequence park on a clip you want, mark in/out press the toggle button again and you’re back in the sequence you want to paste to and press b or v to overwrite/insert.

What you could do is drag your selects sequence into the source window and use the ‘toggle source/record button’ (see pic) to achieve something similar to selecting the sequence tabs in FCP.
You can then go through the source timeline and when parked on a clip you want mark an in and out by pressing T, then toggle back to the record timeline select which tracks you want and insert/overwrite as desired.

If you right click a track select button you can select lock track from the menu.
When you load a clip into the source window you can alter the volume of the different audio tracks it contains with the audio mixer, this will be retained when you drop the clip on the timeline.

Select all the clips in all the bins that you want to relink, right click the sequence (in the bin) you want to relink them to, select relink then select the ‘Selected items in all open bins’ (see pic)

I haven’t used this workflow myself, but could you transcode using Resolve Lite as a work around?

Are you playing back in draft mode or full quality? I get this a lot on clothes when cutting fashion promos and 99% of the time it goes away in full quality mode. Otherwise a bit of blur or key out the offending area.
