Ok, Mercury Playback Engine. Now I know what you mean.

I just tried both software and hardware (CUDA), and it happens on both.

But only on the HDMI out. The SDI is perfect every time.

Thanks. v9.7.7 solved my playback monitor issues.

But it did introduce another minor issue:

Sorry to hear you also have problems, but I’m also glad as it now must be a more widespread issue that will hopefully get the attention of Blackmagic.

Make sure your 720p projects are 59.94fps and not 29.97. For some reason, BMD disabled video output on a 720p timeline that’s not 59.94.

It used to work in previous versions.

I suspect they dropped outputting 720 29.97fps since the “standard” is 720 at 59.94fps.

I simply just make a 59.94 timeline even tho all my footage is 29.97 and my exports are 29.97. Works fine.

Looks like driver 9.5.2 solved this problem.

UPDATE: Blackmagic got back to me and said this problem is being worked on.
