There is only one build of Vegas Pro 13 and DVDA Pro 6.0.

The media I was using (DVD-R) was all from the same brand – even from the same cakebox/batch. The media worked on the Vista, but not on the Windows 10 desktop. Wouldn’t that eliminate media as the culprit?

I tried burning to a DVD-RW – same thing: wouldn’t play on the standalone player.

I have two LG Blu-ray burners in my Vista desktop – those are the ones that are burning the discs that play perfectly on my Samsung player. Never had an issue with LG.

I’ve read many comments like that about Memorex, but I’ve been burning Memorex blu-rays and DVDs for customers since 2011, with no issues until I switched desktops.

I have run a surface scan test and a transfer rate test on one of the Memorex DVDs in question that won’t play on the standalone Samsung player; it found no errors – the disc checked out with a clean bill of health.

Last night I found the solution. It was what I suspected first but didn’t check it out first, because I assumed the company who built my new desktop made sure each component was up-to-date with its firmware, because that’s what I always do when I install any new components. Never assume. It turned out to be the LG burner simply needed a firmware update. I updated it from 1.0 to 1.01, and burned a new DVD – works like a champ on the standalone Samsung player.

Ok. Last night I rendered the audio file off of Vegas as a stereo file and then as a mono file (both as wavs). No success in getting Vegas to play it through the center track. The little visual graph that shows audio peaks and levels over to the right of the screen shows a pitiful little jumping when I playback the files, but still no audio comes through the speakers.

If it helps anybody to know this, the original file came from a Tascam DR-07mkII PCM digital recorder. I recorded the output straight from a mixer. The signal was stereo, my cables were stereo. The only thing I can think of is I’m trying to put a stereo signal into a mono channel. But no, that can’t be it, as I’ve converted the file to mono and it still won’t play. Does anyone have any ideas?

Do you mean once the file is in the center audio track? I tried taking the little yellow surround sound diamond all the way left and all the way right; no sound either way.

What I will try tonight is render just the audio file off Vegas, then load that back in to the center track. I have created sound effects that way before and it always worked.

I didn’t say anything about rendering in DVD Architect – I didn’t even know you could.

I’m talking about a movie I am working on in Vegas Pro 10, rendering it (in Vegas Pro 10) and authoring it in DVD Architect Pro 5.

Vegas Pro 10 CAN open Movie Studio Platinum 9 and Platinum 10 projects, but frames are off by one frame – at least with mine, they are.

I have a project from Platinum 9 with the main video on one track, and another video on a track above it. When I open this project in Pro 10, the bottom (main) video is off-center to the left by one frame.

I’m sure it’s something I not doing right, but for the life of me, I can’t figure out how to fix it.

Your’re right; it was the version. I updated to DVD Architect 5.0 (Build 150) and the legacy drivers check box is now there. Thanks.

Sony DVD Architect 5.0. Will have to check version when I get home tonight. Having the same issue of the Sony product not finding my CD/DVD/BD LG burners in my Sony Movie Studio HD 10.0, also, if you could help with that.
