I have optimized rendering for memory already. I have tried to give all memory to CS apps, tried splitting 8 and 8 with other programs, and tried giving all memory to other programs. Nothing seems to change. I did monitor the memory, how does my computer use all 16gb of memory without even starting a render?

Yes 64 bit. Memory usage jumps around from ~8-15gb. I mean 10 clips, max file size is 500mg down to about 10 mb. I have tried exporting without encoder as I stated above. I just dont get how my computer runs out of memory with 16 gb of ram. I’ve never used a machine with this much memory and this is the only time I have ever had this error message in my life.

So you’re saying I need to install the render node on the separate machine? But I can’t render out “MPEG2 or AC3 based assets, including XDCAM, HDV, and AVCHD.”? And I have a network to share files on, do I need to copy all project files and source files?

Thanks Daniel, thats exactly what I ended up doing. Burned the image with encore, then used roxio to burn the image to dvd. Worked just fine. It’s weird that I can burn with Roxio and not Encore. And as I said before, I burned a smaller project with Encore the same day. So I doubt its my drive. Maybe it’s the media but they seem to work fine with Roxio…

Sure can. Project, Project Settings, General, DV capture settings. Mike is right tho, doing anything else while capturing can cause dropped frames. Not trying to be a hypocrite or anything because I am doing the same thing right now 🙂 but i have a multi core system with 12 Gb RAM. Just saying I would never try this on my old computer.

Problem Solved! I just had to have the X and Y positions linked to themselves instead of the gradient. Still wishin I had Trapcode Particular..looked alot easier…(sigh)

Thanks for all the suggestions! Card Dance seems to be doing the trick, execpt for one small problem. Most of the logos break up great, yet a few just don’t want seperate from the one next to it
I am using a radial ramp and the intensity 1 parameter to break them up. What am I doing wrong?

Ok so you’re saying with Particular I would be able to change each individual particle into one of my 70 logos allowing all 70 to be on screen in 3d space? If so great, and I will definetly look into buying Particular. Any suggestions on tutorials for such a thing?

Sadly I do not. Would i be able to do it with particle world or any other default AE effect?
