use CC HAIR it works well for flowing windy grass.. or use particle illusion 3.0 they have a grass particle ready to use
there is many other ways but cc hair is prolly the easiest and its right in Ae

After rendering , open it up in QuickTime and select Show Movie Properties. Highlight the video track then click on the Visual Settings tab. Towards the bottom left you should see Transparency with a drop-down box next to it. Select “Blend” from the menu then move the Transparency Level slider to 100%. Choose Straight Alpha from the same drop-down and close the properties window and finally Save.

the easiest way to do it would be to take your letter X that you said you wanted to use .. and then add a new solid whiteish yellow .. then mask out the solid in the shape of a beam of light from the ground up to the X in the sky, getting wider the higher it goes up . feather the mask .. i do this all the time to create dance floor lights and stuff like that .

  • thank you guys very much
